Growing Cyclamen from Leaf Cutting

• Growing Cyclamen from leaf cuttings is fun! Start out with a healthy Cyclamen plant.

• Find a stem that is healthy, cut a section that is at least a few inches long. Use good clippers to make a 30 to 60 degree angle clean cut.

• The cyclamen plant cutting will be wet at site of cut.

• To make sure disease does not infect the cyclamen plant cutting,  treat cutting with rooting hormone, which contains an anti-fungal compound.

•    Allow the cutting to dry until a callous develops about one to two weeks.

• Fill a pot to just below the rim with soil and compost.

• Cyclamen loves partial sun.

• When rooting a cyclamen plant, keep soil damp only while taking root.

• Keep an eye on the leaf, watch for yellowing or drying.

•  Find a stem that is healthy, cut a section that is at least a few inches long. Use good clippers to make a clean cut.

•  The jade plant cutting will be wet at site of cut.

• To make sure disease does not infect the jade plant cutting,  treat cutting with rooting hormone, which contains an anti-fungal compound.

•  Allow the cutting to dry, until a callous develops about one to two weeks.

•  Potting mixture made of half vermiculite and half soil.

•  Fill soil almost till top of pot.

• When rooting a jade plant, keep soil damp till jade cutting has taken root.

• After Jade plant has taken root do not over water. Jade plants can easily go two weeks to a month between watering.
